Some 100,000 of Connemara’s finest mussels will be devoured in Tullycross this May Bank Holiday (April 29 – May 1).

Thank you to everyone who sent in an entry for this years competition. We were humbled by the huge amount we received – over 160!!!! So our judge will be busy going through them all!
We will be announcing the winners on the Sunday of the festival.
We are planning to have a small exhibition about 1916 in Connemara as part of the 2016 Mussel Festival. Do you have any photos, letters or other memorabilia particularly relating to Connemara from around the 1916 period ? It doesn’t have to be related to the rising just the period.
